Weight loss is not easy but it is achievable by following the right guidelines

Weight loss is not easy but it is achievable by following the right guidelines
Filed under Fitness and Health
Everyone knows the keys to losing weight: Eat less and exercise more but knowing is not enough. Sounds simple enough, but in the context of real life and its demands, it can be anything but simple to weight loss. To lose weight in a healthy way, we must control calorific intake and increase the amount of calories burned with some form of exercise so the weight loss is permanent. Regardless of the eating plan component of your weight-loss program, the following tips will help you accomplish your goals of healthy weight-loss and weight maintenance instead of starving yourself thin:
  • Drink plenty of water or other calorie-free beverages for weight loss.
  • Think about what you can add to your diet, not what you should take away as in weight loss it is not healthy to starve.
  • Consider whether you’re really hungry before eating.
  • Be choosy about night time snacks. Don’t eat right before going to bed as it is unhealthy.
  • Eat less but more often so weight loss is easy.
  • Brush your teeth early so you stay away from food.
  • Eat vegetables before the main course so you eat less
  • Shop with calories in mind so you are aware of what you eat.
  • Reduce the amount of breads, chips, crackers, and salty snacks you eat for weight loss.
  • Never crash diet to lose weight as it will only make you unhealthy
  • Best weight loss plan: substitute food items instead of eliminating them
  • Gradual changes in lifestyle are best for losing weight
You may think just shedding extra pounds would be satisfying. Of course it would be nice to fit into smaller clothes and be able to jog without running out of breath. But if you want to lose weight for the incorrect reasons, like many others before you, there’s a good chance that either your diet will fall short or that you will put weight back on after your diet is over.

Faiza Mujahid New Song Meri ZindgiMusician Faiza Mujahid announces the release of her song and first official music video for single “Meri Zindagi”, on the 9th of May 2011 across all television and radio networks in Pakistan.
Written and composed by young musician Faiza herself, “Meri Zindagi” is perhaps a coming-of-age song for the musician and somewhat introspectively, talks to the youth, more specifically young girls, to be more independent and in decision making control of their lives; a vision driven from the musician’s own personal experiences and journey of young rebellion, having constantly clashed with tradition and expectations, carving out a path for herself. The video for ‘‘Meri Zindagi” sees the musician in a new avatar and has been shot in high definition, conceptualized and directed by Armughan Hassan, featuring artist and drummer Mehreen Murtaza and Asma Lakhwaira on guitars. Tradition; Where Art meets Culture

Pakistan Art and CultureIn the suburbs on a hot summer day, you’re fascinated by the much admirable truck art that endorses our gigantic carriers. As you further probe through the hearts of Punjab, through the plains of Sindh and across the rough terrain of the Balochs and the Pathans, you may be smart enough to find them as synonymous to the outfits and the lifestyles of the people who live there. Such is the beauty of art and culture and how they peacefully coexist.
Pakistan is a land of rich cultural values and heritage that dates centuries back. And as we take a stroll down the path of art and culture we can very clearly find them to be intertwined.
Pakistani art has a strong affinity for the Mughal painters. Much of our architecture, calligraphy and forms of paintings, especially miniature paintings take origin from their influence.  Although with the intervention of modernization we can see how contemporary forms of art are gradually taking over, the Mughal influence that has been inherited is hard to undermine. Strength Workouts for Men

Strength Workouts for Men
Posted on Apr 25th, 2011 | Comments (0)
Workout programs for men are very important as then are designed according to the tough routines of the world today and they help a lot in keeping the body fit all the time. Fitness is the basic requirement these days. If your body is not fit then it is impossible that you have a sound mind.
In workout programs, the strength workouts are of much importance as they help in building you stamina in order to cope with the hectic chores of life. Strength workouts give you extra power and energy and they increase the blood circulation in your body. You can select a variety of strength workouts from different workout programs. They are different for weight-lifters, muscle burners, frequent travelers etc.
The best thing about strength workouts is that they focus equally on all body parts rather than one or two parts. You biceps, triceps, chest, calves, quads, shoulders etc all are given same sort of attention in strength workouts.
Building up power is the most important part of these strength workouts. Initially, it starts off with power building exercises. Once you have developed a good stamina then it leads to muscle building and fat burning exercises. Moreover, they help in regulating the metabolic system of your body and help in producing more testosterone. Therefore, strength workouts gradually work on each level and help in overall well being of the body.
For strength workouts, try to increase the weights gradually in your weight lifting and confine it to three sets only. If you do the exercises repetitively and all at once then it will cause fatigue rather than stamina building. Keep trying; don’t be disappointed if you cannot work with more weights. Trying will lead you to better strength workouts.
For any of the workout programs, timing your exercises properly is very important. In fact it is better if you take help from your instructor. There should be at least a gap of 2-3 minutes between each of exercises of strength workouts. Using a stop watch is always preferable when following workout programs.
Never ever forget to do some warm-up exercises before starting off with your strength workouts. If you do not have proper warm-up session then chances of getting a muscle broken or some other injury are more. In fact, it is better if you start with beginners’ workout programs as they are very helpful for those who haven’t done any exercises for years nor have any idea of what they are looking for while doing strength workouts.
Lastly, workout programs are not some kind of a miracle that can happen overnight. You need to be consistent and devoted towards your workout programs in order to achieve the kind of body you dream about. Same is the case with strength workouts. They are not effective within hours or a few days. You need to work at least 2-3 weeks consistently in order to see the good results. So, keep on trying and enjoy your workout programs. They are surely going to bring you a hot and well-toned body soon.

Basic Golf Etiquettes

Basic Golf Etiquettes

Basic Golf Etiquettes
Many Golf lovers and good players of golf are un-familiar with the “Golf Etiquettes”. One might be surprised that Golfing needs particular etiquettes, but any good golfer would already know how important it is.
Whenever we talk about golf, golf etiquettes are an important thing to consider. Good golf etiquettes are not just about manners but they are also important for the safety of golf players, to keep the game enjoyable and healthy and to ensure that the quality of the golf course is well-maintained.
As newcomers enter into the game of golf, they are more focused on learning the game, polishing their swings and hitting the ball straight and as far as possible. Golf etiquettes are something that many of newcomers ignore. More experienced golfers are more prone to follow golf etiquettes and they are often the ones who act as an influencer when it comes to passing on golf etiquettes to new players.
Some of the basic golf etiquettes to follow to keep the game safe, healthy and enjoyable are as follows:
  1. Check the distance between yourself and others in your group before swinging. Whether you are the one swinging it, or somebody is swinging, always make sure that you are at a safe distance.
  2. Never swing in the direction of some other player or another present body while you are practicing. You might end up hurting someone with a pebble hidden in grass.
  3. Completely make sure that no one is in danger zone before hitting the ball.
  4. An internationally recognized signal used to clear out players out of danger zone is “Fore”. Use this signal whenever you find out that your ball is headed towards hurting somebody.
  5. Golf Cart Safety rules are important to consider and follow. Always make sure that you observe them carefully.
  6. Throwing clubs in passion or anger is considered as un-acceptable in Golf etiquettes. It is highly in-appropriate to have such behavior in the golf course.
  7. It is considered as rude to keep the other players waiting before you hit the ball. Keep yourself ready and alert.
  8. For formal tournament a player who is farthest hits first. In friendly matches, players usually employee the “Ready Play” rule which means that the player who is ready hits the ball first.
  9. Looking for a lost ball for too long is un-acceptable in golf etiquettes. Players can even continue the game before you return according to the Golf rules.
  10. Avoid being disrespectful towards another golf player by talking during his swing. Quietly waiting for his swing shows that you are giving respect to the other player.
  11. Yelling boisterously is another rude behavior in golf course which should be avoided.
  12. Be careful of what your shadow is doing to another player’s vision. Stand in a position which doesn’t hinder with the other player’s hitting line.
  13. Always walk around the other player’s putting line or step over it to be polite. Never step through it.

Workout for Men; Have a Happy Body!

Workout for Men; Have a Happy Body!

Workout for Men; Have a Happy Body!
A well built and a proportionate body is the key to having a perfect body and that cannot be achieved without leg exercise.
Men are obsessed with having big biceps, muscular chest and back and well built abs. But most of the men tend to ignore exercise for lower body in their workout routine. When you make a routine for workout, you need to make room for leg exercise along with upper body exercise. This article will highlight 4 of the best exercise steps for lower body.
One good exercise for legs is “Squat Exercise” and you do not even need fitness equipment for it. For Squat exercise, you start off by standing up and spreading your legs at shoulder level. Next, you lower your body in a squat position and make a position similar to a chair. Stay in this position for a few seconds and then go back to your original position. This exercise can be repeated several times and the strength to do it more comes from repeating this workout. The strain in your legs will help build and tighten your muscles.
Another good exercise for your lower body is “Gluts Bent Kick Crosses” and this one doesn’t need any fitness equipment either. For this exercise, you get down on your hands and knees, bend your leg at approximately a 90 degree angle and raise each leg, one by one, a few inches up from the floor level. The next and harder step is to push your leg back and upwards, try to force your foot towards the ceiling. This is a good exercise for buttocks. Repeat 5 times approximately before you switch to your other leg.
“Lunges” exercise can also be performed at home without any fitness equipment. The first step for this workout is to take a long stride with one foot and keep it there while raising your left foot in a way that your toes are the only part of your foot which is connected to the ground. Keep your hands at your sides and make sure that your back is at an angle of 90 degree. Next, lower your body gradually until your left knee connects to the ground. Stay in this position for a few seconds and return to your original position. Repeat it at least 5 times in the beginning.
“Doorknob squat” is an exercise for your lower body in which any door in the house will serve as fitness equipment for you. Stand in front of a door; keep your back straight and your chest up and your arms straight at your sides. Part your legs and bend your knees, lean backwards and stay in this position. Repeat this exercise 4-5 times.
You can workout at home; without buying any expensive fitness equipment, but if you are a beginner, do take guidance from an instructor. Doing a workout in the wrong way can damage your body. Workout and have a happy body!

Manicure for perfect hands

Manicure for perfect hands

Manicure for perfect hands

While it is superb to have a manicure in the beauty salon it is not always achievable.  For times when you can't go to a professional manicure spa this is the version of a mini manicure spa.  It will take 15 minutes or less and your hands will look and feel awesome. Manicure for perfect hands
Steps to do a manicure spa at home:
  1. Wash you hands
  2. get rid of any nail polish you may have
  3. Mix the oil, essential oil and sugar this is the best manicure tip for a good manicure
  4. File your nails to your preferred shape
  5. In the sink scrub your hands
  6. Wash it out with water only, and dry the hands
  7. sink your hands in warm water for about 5 minutes
  8. Now press on your cuticles with the orange stick
  9. softly apply some oil or cream to the nail and massage the cuticles
  10. damp one of the towels and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds - it has to get warm
  11. Wrap the towel around your hands and leave it on for 1 or 2 minutes.
  12. Apply the base coat nail polish wait for a minute or 2 and apply one coat of you color wait 3 minutes and apply second coat.

GREASY HAIR

Try to avoid daily washing. The sebaceous glands are overstimulated, secreting more grease onto the hair. This creates a vicious circle where the more you wash is the greasier it becomes.

Another problem with regular washing is that although the roots are greasy the rest of your hair is stripped of oil and the ends become dry and brittle. Use a mild ph-balanced shampoo and wash hair without rubbing the scalp too much. Only apply conditioner to the mid and ends rather than at the roots.

Watch your diet. Oily and fatty foods can contribute to greasy skin and scalp. Best of all is to use those days when you're at home to give your hair a rest from
daily washing. Try using a children's shampoo as these are often mild enough for greasy hair.

DRY HAIR
Dry, coarse and brittle hair needs to be nourished from within; a conditioner that just rinses out won't do the job. Use an intensive moisturising shampoo which will cleanse without excessive rubbing (which will damage the hair more) and follow with a hot oil conditioner. Heat opens up the hair cuticles allowing the moisturiser to penetrate the hair shaft giving it suppleness, bounce and movement. Mousse on dry hair will make it look dull, use a blow drying or thickening lotion instead.

GREY HAIR
If you only have a little grey a semi-permanent colour wash (stays for six to eight washes) will cover it. For more than 30 per cent grey then a quasi colour covers grey whilst keeping a natural look. When you go grey in patches, a permanent tint or a foil and tone technique - where highlights are woven around the top and crown and a semi-permanent colour is put through the rest of the hair - is the only way to cover up. This creates warmth and depth throughout the hair.
